You don't need 10 wrong lipsticks to figure out what works. You need your palette — and then every purchase gets easier.
Here's the shortcut nobody told you about: instead of buying a lip gloss because it looked good on someone else (who probably has completely different coloring), you figure out your color "season" once. After that, you already know which shades will look good on you before you spend a single dollar.
This isn't about rules or being told what to wear. It's about knowing which version of any trend actually works on YOU. When everyone's wearing cherry red? You'll know if your red is a warm tomato red or a cool blue-red — and you'll skip the one that makes you look tired.
What is color analysis?
Color analysis is a system that groups everyone into one of 12 color "seasons" based on your natural coloring — your skin undertone, your hair color, and your eye color. These three things together determine which colors make you look vibrant and healthy vs. washed out and flat.
It's NOT about "you can only wear these colors." It's about knowing which VERSION of any color works on you.
That's the "Which blue?" idea. We don't say don't wear blue. We tell you WHICH blue. A Soft Summer looks incredible in dusty periwinkle. A Bright Winter looks incredible in electric cobalt. Both are blue. Both are gorgeous. But swap them and suddenly you look exhausted.
TruHue scores over 50,000 products across all 12 seasons. You search any product, and you'll see whether it's a YAY (great match for your palette), OKAY (wearable), or NAY (clashing with your coloring). Three seconds, no guesswork.
The 12 seasons, simplified
There are 4 main seasons — Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter — and each has 3 variations. That gives you 12 total. Here's the quick version:
Springs are warm and bright or light. Think warm peach blush, coral lip, golden highlights. If warm colors make your skin glow, you're probably somewhere in Spring.
Summers are cool and soft or light. Think dusty rose blush, mauve lip, ashy or cool-toned hair. If muted cool colors make you look fresh, you're likely a Summer.
Autumns are warm and deep or muted. Think terracotta blush, brick lip, warm browns and olives. If earthy warm colors are your sweet spot, you're in Autumn territory.
Winters are cool and bold or deep. Think berry blush, true red lip, high contrast between skin and hair. If bold cool colors make you pop, you're probably a Winter.

Am I warm or cool? (the quick test)
You can get 80% of the way to your answer with three quick checks. None of these are perfect on their own, but together they'll point you in the right direction.
1. Look at your wrist veins. If they look blue or purple, you're likely cool-toned. If they look green, you're likely warm. If you see both — welcome to the neutral club.
2. Silver vs. gold jewelry. Hold a silver piece and a gold piece next to your face. One will make your skin look clearer and more even. That's your undertone talking.
3. White vs. cream t-shirt. Pure white flatters cool undertones. Cream or off-white flatters warm undertones. Whichever one makes you look alive (not washed out) — that's your answer.
These tests aren't the full picture. The quiz analyzes your skin, hair, and eyes together and narrows it down to your specific season out of 12. But if you're just getting started, knowing warm vs. cool is already powerful.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can your color season change?
Mostly no. Your natural coloring stays consistent throughout your life. Extreme hair dye or heavy tanning can temporarily shift how colors look against your skin, but your underlying season doesn't change. If you take the quiz again in five years, you'll get the same result.
Does color analysis work on all skin tones?
Yes. The 12-season system works across all ethnicities and skin depths. Deep Autumn and Deep Winter include many people with dark skin. The system is about undertone and contrast, not just lightness. Every skin tone fits somewhere in the 12 seasons.
Is color analysis just for clothes?
No — it works for makeup, hair color, jewelry, and even accessories like phone cases. TruHue focuses on makeup specifically because that's where wrong colors show the most (right against your skin). But your season applies to everything you put near your face.
