About Our Founders

Hi, We're Liv and Mom

It all started with a lipstick. Liv picked one out that looked gorgeous in the tube — but once she put it on, something was just off. We looked at each other and said, "Why isn't there an app that can just tell you if a color will work on you?"

That question wouldn't leave us alone. So we did something about it. We took color analysis classes. We learned about undertones, seasonal palettes, and the science behind why certain shades make you glow. Then we taught ourselves to code — together, at our kitchen table in Oklahoma — and started building the app we wished existed.

TruHue is a mom-and-daughter project, born from a real problem and a lot of determination. We're not a tech company. We're two people who believe every woman deserves to feel confident in her colors — without the guessing, without the waste, and without needing to spend hundreds on a professional consultation.
