What we collect:

AI-Powered Color Analysis & Third-Party Data Sharing:

TruHue uses artificial intelligence to analyze your selfie photo and product images to determine your seasonal color palette and evaluate product color matches. To perform this analysis, your photos are sent to Anthropic, PBC (the maker of Claude AI) via their API. Specifically:

How we use your data:

What we do NOT do:

Children's Privacy (COPPA):
For users under 13, we require parental consent. We collect minimal data and do not serve targeted advertising to minors.

Data Deletion:
You can delete all your data from the Settings screen at any time. This removes your profile, scan history, and favorites from the device and our servers.

Browser Extension (TruHue Widget)

The TruHue browser extension (Chrome Web Store, Safari Extensions) is a separate product from the mobile app and handles data differently:

What the extension stores locally on your device:

What the extension sends to our servers:

What the extension does NOT collect:

Affiliate disclosure:
When you click a product link on a page where the extension is running, we may rewrite the URL to add an affiliate tag (Amazon Associates, Walmart Creator). This costs you nothing extra and helps fund development. The link still goes to the same product on the same retailer; only the referral attribution changes.

Third parties:
The extension's scoring API runs on Netlify Functions and reads from our product catalog (no third-party AI services involved in scoring). Image submissions sent through "Add this product" are stored in Firebase Storage operated by Google. We do not share extension data with advertisers or analytics services.

Removing the extension:
Uninstall it from chrome://extensions (Chrome) or Settings → Extensions (Safari). All locally cached data is removed automatically.
